Day Eighty Five: A Lazy New Years Day In San Francisco... 01/01/09

We made no plans for the first day of the new year, so we had a bit of a sleep-in today. We haven't done any food shopping for the last week or so, because we've been trying to use up what we had left in the cupboards before we leave. Much to our dismay however, when we went to prepare breakfast this morning, we discovered there wasn't much left at all, bar a few mouldy spuds and sprouts from Christmas... Not the most appealing of breakfasts, you might agree... After a quick check on the Internet, we entered some co-ordinates into the GPS, and set out on foot to the local Chinese restaurant. Yeah alright... Chinese food for breakfast, probably wouldn't be very appealing to most people either, but it certainly hit the spot nicely. We spent the rest of the day, doing what we'd probably be doing on New Years Day if we had been back home... absolutely nothing. We'll get up early tomorrow and make our way back into the city. We've plenty more we want to do and see...
