Day Sixty Two: Long Beach to Death Valley...09/12/08
We hit the road before lunch and set course for Death Valley.. The RV park we're staying in cannot be found by satellite navigation. The address they give us over the phone was a PO Box address. We were a long time on the road and by the time we got to our destination in a town called Ridgecrest, it was dark. Naturally we all assumed that the RV park would be somewhere near it's PO Box address. Unfortunately, we couldn't have been more wrong!! It was another 70 odd miles through the desert and over windy mountain roads before we finally got here. We're back in the middle of nowhere again, and apparently they don't even have phones around here! It seems nice all the same, and for the first time since North Carolina we had the luxury of a nice campfire. It's good to be in the great outdoors again.
