Day Fifty Nine: Universal Studios... 06/12/08

An early start it was.. I can't remember the last time any of us saw 7am!! We forgot it even existed.. Well we wanted to get to Universal Studios as early as we could because we knew it would likely be an all day event. We walked a few blocks to the Metro station and hopped on a train. After more than an hour on the tracks we eventually arrived at Universal Studios. Admission was $67 per person, but as we waited in the queue a very nice gentleman handed us an empty can of coke. This was no ordinary can of coke, for this one had the power to give us a $20 discount per person... Sweet!! (It was a special offer in case you think it was a magic can of coke). We proceeded inside and geared ourselves up for a day of fun. We pretty much visited every attraction in the park. Roller coasters, simulators, log rides etc... We also got to do the Universal Studios tour, which basically took us around the lot where they still shoot movies inside big warehouses. We saw the set of the movie Physco, as well as the set of the plane crash in Spielberg's War of the Worlds. Oh, and we also got to drive up Wisteria Lane. Apparently it's where they film Desperate Housewives. It looked just like a real neighbourhood, although I can't say any of us actually recognised it. We decided against bringing any video or camera equipment so the pictures included are from Aidan's phone. We sure had a lot of fun today, as only a bunch of big kids like us really could.
