Day Twenty Five: Forget about Dallas... 02\11\08

Well it's a Sunday.. We arrived in Dallas late enough last night and the RV park office was closed. It opened today at 12 noon and when we went over to pay we asked the lady about public transport into the city. She informed us that there was a bus station 5 minutes drive away and it provided a shuttle service to downtown. As soon as we got over there it was soon clear that she was very wrong!! The car park was empty and all the signs said "No service on Sundays"... great! We asked a few folk in the vicinity if there was any other form of transport downtown, but most of them were clueless. So not willing to drive a 32ft RV in downtown Dallas and then find somewhere to park it, we decided.. to hell with it, lets just hit the road!! I can't say any of us were too sad leaving, more glad that we didn't have to spend tonight in the same RV park (It wasn't great). That was our original plan, but after 5 hours on the road we're in Houston, and we couldn't be happier to be here. The RV park is excellent in comparison to Dallas and we're only a 10 minute drive from the NASA Space Centre where we intend to spend our time tomorrow. Oh.. and the forecast is great for the next few days, 28 degrees plus!!
