Day Two: Kevin and Jens Wedding 10/10/08

We woke up early and got the Subway around the corner from the hotel and went straight to Time Square. It looks exactly like it does in the movies. We visited St. Patricks Cathedral and then went to see the Rockafeller Centre where 30 rock is recorded (great show if you don't know it). Then later we went over to the Empire State Building and had lunch in the Heartland Brewery on the ground floor. Took a quick run over to Maceys and we did a bit of shopping before getting the subway back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.

There was a chartered bus to take us and most of the other guests to the ceremony in the Queens Botanic Gardens. By the time we got there we were 40 minutes late. Obviously they didn't start the wedding without the guests so we didn't miss anything. The gardens were beautiful and so was the weather. The ceremony itself took less than 15 minutes. Short, sweet and straight to the point...

When all the Photos were taken we got back on the bus (Kevin and Jen included this time), and made our way to the reception in a very nice restaurant called Verdis. It was an Irish/Italian wedding which turned out to be a very nice mix. We had a free bar and the food never seemed to stop coming to our tables. Unlike an Irish wedding, the reception was all wrapped up by midnight. The party continued though when we all piled onto the bus again and made our way to a cool bar called Sidetracks. Liam was the last man standing and the party was finally over at 4am. A great time had by all...
