We finally got on the Interstate and started looking for a Walmart to get supplies. The most important thing we were looking for was a GPS. Basically a GPS is designed to prevent people getting lost. We saw a sign for Walmart and took the turn. Unfortunately, it was the wrong turn... yup we were lost!!! We drove 80 miles in the wrong direction before we managed to get back on the right track.

Day Five: RV Pick Up 13/10/08
We booked a car service to take us from the hotel to Tappan which is just outside NYC to pick up the RV. When we got there our RV wasn't ready so we hung around for a while. We were right on the state border with New Jersey so we took a walk across and ended up in a little town called Northvale. It's a nice little town and the locals were all very friendly. Everyone has their Halloween decorations up already. Halloween is huge over here!!!
We went back to pick up the RV at around lunchtime. It's a brand new Winnebago Chalet. It's so spacious inside and has all the mods-cons we could want. Liam was the first to drive it and after taking it for a few test runs around the block we were on our way. It wasn't two minutes until we had taken our first wrong turn up a tiny road. Exactly the kind of place you don't want to be in a 32ft RV!!!

We finally got on the Interstate and started looking for a Walmart to get supplies. The most important thing we were looking for was a GPS. Basically a GPS is designed to prevent people getting lost. Once we got back on the Interstate we just kept driving for a few hours and eventually found a Walmart. We bought our GPS and lots of other essential supplies (Walmart is cheap as chips and sells everything!!). We then realised it was far too late for us to get to the campgrounds in Niagara Falls which was our original plan, so we decided we'd look for a Walmart further up the interstate to park up for the night. Once we got there we made ourselves comfortable, had a few beers and played a bit of poker before we hit the hay.
